The Short-term Study Abroad Program is a four-week intensive learning program at Webster University Ghana in Accra, Ghana. The dates are usually the last three weeks of May and the first week of June.
In addition to the course work, students are involved in cultural immersion events which include visiting popular cultural and historical sites in the cities of Accra and Cape Coast. Weekend excursions to communities outside of Accra, Ghana are also a part of the program. All of the activities outside of the classroom are designed for the students to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the culture and customs of the host country
II. Program Courses and Activities
The two general core academic courses that are offered in this program are listed below:
Students must enroll in both courses (six credit hours). Ghana is an English-speaking country, therefore, the courses are taught in English. All faculty members are academically and professionally qualified. Each course will entail a combination of in-class instruction as well as outside learning activities that will total a minimum of 45 contact hours.

III. Housing and Meals
Participants are housed either four or two to a room in one of the Residence Halls at Webster University Ghana. There are on-campus cooking facilities that students have access to with their ID cards. Also, there are restaurants near the campus. Students have a choice of either cooking their own meal on campus or dining off-campus.
